Actor Robert DiPaulonito, also known as "Bobby Driver," is nearing the end of his acting career. A survivor of substance abuse, alcohol addiction, the studio system, a suicide attempt and three marriages, he is looking forward to quietly leaving the industry to retire from the world of acting. However, his troubled life is intertwined with the past and present of Hollywood itself, and he must confront the issues in his own life, as well as dealing with the dark truths that also surround his friends and family: their ties to the underground industry of kidnapping, underage sex, child trafficking, and murder.
