Researcher, diplomat and writer. Margaret Evelyn Barbalet was born in Tasmania in 1949 and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in history from the University of Adelaide in 1973. As an author, Barbalet has written in a number of genres, including novels, children's books, short stories and historical writings.
