Showing The Bogota Delusion by Adrien Trarieux

Investigator Rafael Alvarez is an agent of the feared and mistrusted Colombian law enforcement agency, the Fiscalía. Haunted by the death of his wife and marginalised within the agency, Rafael is unexpectedly assigned to lead a murder investigation when a dismembered, mutilated body is discovered, abandoned in a suitcase on the path to the top of Monserrate, the prominent mountain at the centre of Bogota.

Rafael’s efforts to identify the victim and uncover why he was killed require him to navigate the corrupt internal politics of the Fiscalía and lead him into contact with a mysterious cult trying to revive the ways of the indigenous Muisca Indians. As the investigation spirals out of control, Rafael finds himself and those around him threatened by a sinister conspiracy that will stop at nothing to protect its interests. Exposing those involved and putting an end to their schemes will test Rafael’s courage and determination to the limits.
