Rockets Over Alaska: the genesis of Poker Flat

This well illustrated book describes the early development of the Poker Flat Research Range and events leading up the founding of the range in 1968. Located north of Fairbanks, Alaska, this university owned and operated facilty now has become the primary North American lauching site for scientific rockets used to investigate auroras and other high-latitude phenomena.
