As the British Historian, Norman Davies siad, 'No nation lost more people in the 20th century than the Ukrainians'. 'Sasha & Olga' describes the effect that Ukraine under Stalin and Hitler, had on ordinary people. Sasha and Olga were two survivors of progroms, mass starvation, Nazi slavery and Allied bombing among other atrocities. They were Displaced Persons who tried to find a new life in Australia. In this book their daughter tells their story and what happened when they tried unsuccessfully to put the past behind them. She returned to Ukraine to uncover the past and by a series of amazing coincidences found long lost relatives.
