About the Author

Tom Gamble was born in Essex, England and moved to France as a young man where he lives and works. He teaches, coaches and delivers learning design in leading European universities and business schools. He has trekked across isolated parts of North Africa and has a true affinity for the Atlas and the Sahara. He is the author of The Kingdom of Emptiness, a modern-day saga set in London, Paris and Mauritania. Amazir was runner up in the 2011 UK RNA awards.
